What is a proximity card?

These key cards are access cards that communicate wirelessly with a compatible door reader using RFID technology. The user simply holds or taps the card near the reader to unlock the door, without inserting or swiping it.
They are commonly used in the hospitality industry because they provide quick, convenient access and reduce physical wear on both the card and the lock reader.
